Education

General Manager
Lead transportation operations, fleet performance, safety, and business growth at SA Trucking Inc.
The role
What you’ll be responsible for
Own the systems, teams, and decisions that keep freight moving safely, efficiently, and profitably.
- Manage and coordinate transportation activities, including dispatch, routing, scheduling, and delivery.
- Ensure optimal fleet utilization and timely freight movement.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and market competitiveness.
- Oversee the maintenance, acquisition, and regulatory compliance of all company vehicles, while monitoring fuel efficiency, fleet performance, and safety metrics.
- Prepare operational budgets, track key performance indicators, control costs across departments, and work with finance to analyze reports and drive profitability.
- Lead, train, and mentor department heads and staff, including drivers, dispatchers, and administrative personnel.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on safety, accountability, and performance.
- Build strong customer and partner relationships, address service issues, and ensure client satisfaction through reliable delivery performance.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other regulatory bodies, champion a culture of safety across operations, and implement policies that reduce incidents and violations.
- Use TMS, GPS tracking, ELDs, and data analytics to improve operational efficiency and decision-making, while collaborating with sales and business development to identify growth opportunities, expand the customer base, and improve service offerings.
What you bring
Job requirements
Experience
48 months of experience in an occupation involving the management of freight truck drivers, shipping routes, and internal logistics.
Languages
Fluency in Ukrainian, Russian, and English, both verbal and written.
